01Can complete beginners join?
Yes. The N5 Foundations course is designed for complete beginners and develops core grammar and simple daily conversation.
02Is the trial lesson free?
Yes. The current Borderless trial lesson is completely free and lasts 60 minutes. It takes place inside a regular lesson so you can experience the actual structure, pace, and interaction. There is no obligation to enroll afterward.
03Do I need to buy a textbook or another study app?
No. The Borderless learning app, original lesson materials, preparation, practice, and feedback tools are included with the program. You do not need to buy a separate textbook, study app, or additional course material.
04Are explanations available in English?
Borderless can explain key differences and nuance in English when it supports understanding.
05Is this a JLPT preparation school?
JLPT knowledge can be included, but the goal is always to connect it to speaking, writing, work, and daily life.
06How much study happens outside the lesson?
There is no conventional homework, but lesson preparation is required. It usually takes 15–30 minutes; deeper preparation may take 60–90 minutes.
07What happens if I miss a lesson?
You may join the same class at another time when an equivalent class is available. Learner absences are normally non-refundable, while statutory cancellation rights and lessons Borderless cannot deliver are handled under the Enrollment Terms.
08What does AI do in Borderless?
AI can organize patterns, suggest practice, and answer common questions. A teacher makes the final educational judgment, and the learner keeps their own words.
09How do you protect accuracy?
For learners who care about precision, Borderless uses the current flagship AI model together with careful human review of Japanese. The model can evolve; no AI output is treated as final on its own.

No. AI supports review and personalization; it should never replace your own thinking or words.
